BAC’s raison d’ etr ê, and therefore its core purpose and role in the Botswana tertiary education landscape, is best explained by pinpointing its five key result areas:
Capacity building & Transformation:
The context is that considering the overall national vision 2016 perspectives, (link to vision 2016),Botswana Accountancy College’s role, and therefore its strategic intent pivots around two of the most important aspects of skills development at national level ,namely skills capacity building and transformation of the Botswana economyin line with the notion of quality of performance in the ‘new order’ of the knowledge economy.
Investing in people:
The college invests significantly in ensuring that it procures from the best pool of human capital a professional lecturing team of the highest caliber . It is necessary to do so, relative to the BAC core strategy of positioning itself currently “ to become the centre of excellence for accountancy and business training in Botswana and Southern Africa”.
