Diamond Trading Company Botswana (DTCB) is a 50/50 Joint Venture partnership between the Government of Botswana and De Beers. It is the world’s largest and most sophisticated diamond sorting and valuing operation.
One of the key activities of the Diamond Trading Company Botswana (DTCB) is the sorting and valuation of rough diamonds. When diamonds arrive from the mines, they are sorted into different categories according to their size, shape, quality and colour.
The offices which sort and value diamonds for De Beers are DTC Botswana, DTC South Africa, Namibia DTC, and DTC London.
The Sales and Marketing department works as an interface between DTC Botswana and its clients to ensure that aggregated boxes of consistently sorted diamonds are distributed in the most efficient and effective way possible to local clients.
