Gaborone Container Terminal (PTY) LTD known as GABCON is an internationally recognised Dry port / Container terminal operating in Gaborone,
Francistown (
FRANCON) and very soon in
Palapye (
PALCON).
GABCON uses the services of both Botswana Railways and Transnet to facilitate the movement of containers by rail to and from the South African Sea and Dry Ports linking to the rest of the world’s international ports (which means containerised cargo can be shipped on a through bill of lading to Gaborone, Francistown and Palapye, where we have offices).
This dynamic organisation aims to expand its container handling capacity and extend more value add services
such as intermodal facility/ warehousing to consolidate cargo, stuffing and de-stuffing of containers and
setting up a car terminal.
