The Botswana International University of Science and Technology is being constructed on 2500 hectares of beautiful and rolling Tswapong hills in Palapye. Palapye is 270km north of Botswana's capital city of Gaborone and 176km south of Francistown., Botswana's second largest city. While the BIUST campus is under construction in Palapye, the University's administration is operating temporarily in Gaborone at the Botswana Examinations Council Complex.
The university is fully funded by the Government of Botswana for its founding developments. The second phase of development will be done through the Public Private Partnership (PPP) with the government as one of the parties.
