Eastgate International (EGI) instituted Eastgate Africa Tours and Travel as its Kenyan/African sister company with the aim of transforming, customizing and refreshing the current tourism industry within Kenya and Africa in general, into a more conscious and sustainable sector that benefits not only the company but local African businesses and communities as well. At present, the tourism industry is dogged with a plethora of challenges with regard to its sustainability, accountability and responsibility to locals, which EGI confidently believes it can overcome by injecting a previously ignored dimension of continued Corporate Social Responsibility.
EGI’s elaborate plan seeks not only to take over the local African market but also to further break into international tourism in all its forms to international standards and appeal.
EGI strategies include facilitating the creation of a broad platform for African tourism to not only improve its standards but also transform it into a viable and respectable way of earning a living, as is the case internationally.
