In 1931, the company pooled resources with another engineering firm, Tardieu & Co. and operates since then under the name of Forges Tardieu Ltd. Forges Tardieu remains the largest mechanical workshop in the region. Strategically located next to the harbour in Port Louis, our activities cover the sugar sector, co-generation power plant, oil and Gas storage facilities, and structural steelwork. The workshop, once the very heart of Forges Tardieu, is nowadays one among many other business units of the company, giving way to other activities such as Engineering, sub-contracting, procurement, construction and a wide range of professional services. Forges Tardieu delivers turnkey projects, offers advisory services and supplies a wide variety of equipment to its local and international clients.
