Established in 1976 by the sons of the late King Faisal of Saudi Arabia, The King Faisal Foundation (KFF) is one of the largest philanthropic foundations worldwide with well defined remits spanning six core areas.
King Faisal’s son, the current Director- General, is HRH Prince Khalid Al- Faisal, governor of Makkah Province in western Saudi Arabia, which includes Islam’s holiest city, Mecca, as well as Saudi Arabia’s main seaport and second largest city, Jeddah. Under his stewardship, KFF has evolved into a vibrant organisation that espouses diverse initiatives reflecting the steady progress - within an Islamic context – that represents the hallmark of modern Saudi Arabia today.
