Internationally renowned Brazilian Plastic Surgeon Dr Marco Faria Correa has
been based in Singapore since 2005. A worldwide pioneer in endoscopic plastic
surgery with more than 25 years of experience, Dr Marco is recognised as one of
the best cosmetic surgeons in the world. It is thus no surprise that he was
named “Most Outstanding International Leader in Liposuction and Cosmetic Surgery
2009”, touted as the “Oscars” of cosmetic surgery.
Dr Marco first came to Singapore in 1996 for the purpose of transferring
knowledge as well as conducting workshops and surgical demonstrations. In 2000,
he was invited again by the Singapore Association of Plastic Surgery to present
his techniques on liposculpture and endoscopic plastic surgery. He was then
invited to work in Singapore under the “Hunting for Talents” programme to boost
the country’s medical tourism sector by attracting more international patients
and making Singapore a hub for plastic and cosmetic surgery.
