In 1927 the newly married grandparents of current owner, Dave Durham, started the dairy. Cecil and Sheila Durham milked seven Jersey cows in an orange orchard in the backyard of their uncle’s home in Smith Street, central Dundee. At the time, only nutritious Jersey milk was sold in one-gallon milk cans. Five years later Orange Grove Dairy moved to its current location, Glynton Farm, just outside Dundee. Some 83 years later, Orange Grove manufactures and distributes over 200 different products throughout KwaZulu- Natal, and parts of Gauteng and Mpumalanga. Today, Orange Grove Dairy is a third-generation family business led by the management team of Dave and Sue Durham, and Jabulani Khanyile, who together have over 70 years of dairy experience.
